14. Kartell Pilastro Stool
“This stool has such unique lines and an interesting shape—it looks beautiful tucked under a table or as a perch in an entry or a hallway. Plus, it’s fun and functional. I use it as a side table for drinks, a footstool for lounging, and even for extra seating.”
— Nadia Watts, founder, Nadia Watts Interior Design
Tip: Watts likes to fill rooms with multi-use pieces. “I prefer furniture that looks like art but also serves a purpose,” she says.

A look inside Kips Bay Palm Beach! →
What a wild and wonderful ride it has been! Designing The Lively Loggia and Jeweled Gallery at the Kips Bay 2024 Designer Showhouse in West Palm Beach, FL, was an exhilarating experience. Collaborating with The Shade Store, we created custom drapes using my Kravet Gem Collection Fabric, infusing the space with vibrant colors and luxurious textures.

Last week’s event at the Kravet showroom (Denver), hosted by The Shade Store, provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with the Denver design community and share the behind-the-scenes stories of our showhouse journey. I'm grateful to Kravet and The Shade Store for their amazing sponsorship, which made this project possible.
If you missed the discussion, not to worry! You can still take a virtual tour of the showhouse here, and check out this article, which features The Jeweled Gallery and offers inspiring design insights from the show.

JEWEL TONES
Several designers opted for jewel-toned colors in their rooms—especially shades of sapphire blue, emerald, and turquoise—but we think Nadia Watts Interior Design officially gave this trend star status. Inspired by her legendary great-great-grandfather, Louis Comfort Tiffany of Tiffany Studios, she incorporated the saturated colors found in his iconic stained glass.
From the turquoise Porter Teleo-clad walls to the sparkling green glass Currey & Company chandeliers, you feel like you’re literally stepping inside a jewel box. Whether you embrace this glamorous trend by lacquering your walls a deep emerald or opt for ruby-hued objets d’art, this color palette is endlessly versatile—and here to stay.

Thank you, Real Simple and Rachel Simon, for my review on the best drinking glasses of 2024.
Depending on your taste and budget, it can be worthwhile to have a fancier set of glassware, even if it’s used rarely. “Unique high-quality glassware makes your table look elegant and pulled together,” says Watts.
Crystal glass is the highest quality, due to its durable nature, heavier weight, and ability to refract light, making for a beautiful appearance. “It has a brilliant and reflective appearance that really elevates the elegance factor,” says Watts.

Living Etc - How Can I Keep My Kitchen Warm Without Heating? →
Thank you, Living Etc and Aditi Sharma Maheshwari, for this feature about the importance of Colors and Materials.
'Warm lighting is a quick and easy way to make any space feel cozy,' says Nadia Watts, founder of Nadia Watts Interior Design. 'Use lamps and layer your lighting. A lamp on the kitchen counter can do wonders for cozying up your kitchen and making it feel warm and inviting. Be sure to use soft, warm-white or yellow bulbs. Candlelight, and of course firelight, also makes for a warm atmosphere, plus they dispel heat, which instantly brings coziness to your space.'
