Thank you Homes & Gardens and Emily Moorman for including me in this article on timeless color schemes!

Denver-based interior designer Nadia Watts also associates blue with timeless design, also favoring decorating with Benjamin Moore's Hale Navy: 'Hale Navy is a workhorse color, suitable for all types of rooms, walls, and ceilings. Navy goes with everything – it works really well as a neutral because it complements so many colors.'

Real Simple - 14 Decor Trends Going Out of Style for 2025—and What to Choose Instead

Thank you Real Simple and Hannah Baker, for including me in your 2025 decor trends piece! I am excited to share four inspirations for giving your space a fresh new look in the year ahead.

Here are a few excerpts from the piece:

According to Nadia Watts of Nadia Watts Interior Design, round rugs are on the way out. Instead, try something a little more unique, she says. "Rugs of all shapes and sizes, and especially custom-designed rugs specifically for your room, are on the rise. Think oblongs, infinity loops, animal shapes, and other less traditional options."

All new everything doesn't quite have the same charm as mixing things up. Instead, Watts suggests upcycling older pieces by renewing antique furniture, using old items in new ways (for example, a thoroughly cleaned vintage ashtray as a catchall), and recovering upholstered pieces with special vintage fabrics.

"Let’s face it, we spend a lot of time in our kitchens. Your kitchen is the heart of the home, so make sure it’s not boring. Mixing materials is in for 2025, think color mixing, material mixing, and metal mixing!"

Homes & Gardens - Is White or Cream more on trend for 2025? Which of these enduring neutrals are designers favoring (and where and when to use them)

Thank you, Homes & Gardens and Emily Moorman, for including me in your article on 2025's trending neutrals!

'A crisp white paint is ideal for ceilings and trim and also works well for kitchen cabinets. Choose a white with a touch of cream for more warmth and depth. I love Benjamin Moore's White Dove and Cloud White. White is great for making neutrals pop and works well with gray, whereas cream pairs well with color,' explains Denver-based designer interior designer Nadia Watts.

Martha Stewart - 16 Ways to Decorate With Bold Colors

Thank you to Martha Stewart and Heather Bien for featuring me in this piece on embracing bold colors!

Once you've gone bold, keep going. In this room, the vivid peacock teal doesn't stop with the walls; it extends to the sofa, the rug, and the ceiling. "By incorporating two shades that work well with the wall color, we brought the hue from the walls up to the ceiling, effectively enveloping the space," says Nadia Watts

"Start with a multicolored rug and play off the wall with the floor by selecting a bold color from the rug for the walls," says Watts. "Being a little unexpected will create a powerful result."

House Beautiful - These Are the Top Kitchen Hardware Trends for 2025, According to Experts

Thank you to House Beautiful and Kate McGregor for the feature—I love sharing my insights with such a talented group!

‘I love the many rounded-edge options now available. No longer is kitchen hardware square or rectangular with sharp edges… I am also seeing more historical and antique hardware emerge in residential projects. And I find vintage hardware hard to beat in terms of its quality and craftsmanship. There is nothing better than sifting through some old wood panels or cabinet drawers at an antique store and coming across some gorgeous old hardware.’ —Nadia Watts.

Stained Glass - “I’ve always been drawn to color—the richer the better. I am the great-great-granddaughter of Louis Comfort Tiffany of Tiffany Studios and Glass, and Tiffany glass is full of classic gem tones and deep concentrated colors and those color palettes have been an inspiration for me throughout my career. Colors may come and go, however deeply saturated gem tones seem to always look chic. I have always believed and continue to believe that you cannot go wrong with the right mix of old and new. That perfect vintage item mixed in with modern and sleek.” —Nadia Watts

Martha Stewart - 5 Paint Colors to Never Use in Your Living Room, According to Interior Designer

Thank you to Martha Stewart and Blythe Copeland for this feature—I’m so excited to share my insights on creating warm, inviting spaces with your wonderful readers!

“You absorb energy from your room, and color matters,” she says. “There are many colors other than gray that work as a neutral base. These will bring energy, vibrancy, and warmth to your living room. Think creamy beige, warm blues and greens, caramel-y browns, or rich jewel tones.”

Skip cool white in favor of a neutral with depth and personality. “If you want that ‘gallery’ look and love all-white walls, then be sure you choose a white with warm undertones,” says Watts. “Whites with gray or blue undertones will make your space feel stark. Instead, look for a neutral with some cream or beige that feels warm and welcoming.”

Business of Home - Designer Debate 'Rules of Engagement'

Thank you to Kaitlin Petersen and Business of Home for an incredible Designer Debate alongside one of my favorite designers and dear friend, Joe Ireland. It was an honor to be part of this conversation!

Great design is best achieved over time. When communication channels are wide open, both the client and designer have a better understanding of the project overall.

Gradually designing the room results in a curated feel with history and a sense of narrative. The outcome feels purposeful and soulful like it was all meant to be.
